Programs
& Opportunities

At Elevated Earth, we believe creativity, connection, and hands-on learning have the power to strengthen individuals and communities. Through art, agriculture, educational experiences, and community-centered programming, we create opportunities for people of all ages to learn, grow, create, and connect.

Our programs are rooted in the belief that meaningful experiences happen when people engage with the world around them—whether through creating art, tending a garden, learning a new skill, exploring nature, participating in a workshop, or gathering with others around a shared purpose.

From children’s art classes and summer enrichment programs to agricultural workshops, community events, and public arts initiatives like Art on the River, our goal is to make creativity and learning accessible while fostering a vibrant culture of curiosity, stewardship, and community engagement.

Below are some of the ways we bring that vision to life.

Summer Enrichment Programs

Summer at Elevated Earth: Where Creativity Takes Root and Kids Come Alive

During the summer, we transform long, slow days into unforgettable adventures! At Elevated Earth, art and agriculture collide in the most magical way, creating enrichment programs and week-long camps that spark curiosity, confidence, and pure joy.

Designed to beat the summer slump, our hands-on programs invite school-age children into a world where learning feels like discovery. Kids dig into farming, explore the natural world, and then channel everything they’ve experienced into vibrant creative expression. From planting under the sunshine to crafting art inspired by the colors and textures of the land, every moment becomes a chance to grow.

What makes our program different?
We focus on process over perfection. Here, children are encouraged to explore, play, and create without fear of judgment. That freedom unlocks something powerful—self-trust, imagination, and the realization that their own ideas are worth celebrating.

Each workshop is thoughtfully designed around your child’s unique interests and developmental needs. Whether they’re experimenting with paint, sculpting from natural materials, or learning new skills alongside newfound friends, they’re building academic strength, social confidence, and emotional resilience in a supportive, structured environment. Parents may contact us anytime at elevatedearth.org@gmail.com. Internships for Young Adults

Grow Skills. Grow Community. Grow Yourself.
The Elevated Earth Internship Experience

Elevated Earth offers a unique, hands-on internship program for young adults who want to learn sustainable agriculture, ethical animal care, and the fusion of art with farming. Our farm is a living classroom where interns grow in responsibility, leadership, creativity, and community engagement. No college enrollment is required—just a genuine interest in learning, growing, and contributing to a mission-based nonprofit.

We currently offer two internship tracks, both rooted in education rather than labor. Because each intern receives structured instruction, mentoring, and weekly training, this program follows a tuition-based model with scholarship opportunities for those who qualify.

Educational Focus and Mission
Interns learn how farms can serve as responsible members of their communities while improving resilience, self-reliance, and ethical stewardship of land and animals. The program emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, emotional maturity, and practical agricultural skills. Interns engage with topics such as sustainable practices, natural systems, community service, and the ability to contribute meaningful ideas to the growth of Elevated Earth.

Community Engagement and Leadership
Interns often assist with volunteers, participate in youth educational activities, and help shape community art-and-ag programs. They learn collaborative communication, problem-solving, and how to be changemakers in a system often shaped by industrial farming, outdated practices, and environmental harm.

Supportive Learning Environment
The internship experience is grounded in mutual respect, shared responsibility, and a commitment to personal growth. Interns receive regular check-ins, approachable feedback, and the support of staff who integrate both science and creativity into the learning process.

Agricultural Worksops & Day Camps

Our Agricultural Workshops and Day Camps provide hands-on opportunities for children, families, and community members to learn about gardening, sustainable agriculture, animal care, food production, and stewardship of the land. Designed to be engaging, practical, and accessible, these programs encourage participants to connect with the natural world while developing valuable skills and a deeper appreciation for where food comes from.

Activities may include gardening, planting and harvesting, caring for farm animals, nature-based learning, seasonal farm projects, homesteading skills, and other agricultural experiences that foster curiosity, responsibility, and connection to the land.

Whether you’re interested in learning a new skill, spending time outdoors, or introducing your family to agriculture, our workshops and camps offer meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and explore together.

Upcoming workshops, day camps, schedules, and registration details are posted regularly through our Facebook Events page.

Every brushstroke, every seed planted, every new friendship, it’s all part of the adventure. This is summer the way it was meant to be: full of discovery, creativity, connection, and joy.

Elevated Earth Ferret Rescue: Comapssion, Education, & Second Chances

At Elevated Earth, our mission reaches far beyond education, we care for the whole ecosystem of well-being: people, animals, and the land. As a nonprofit founded by a licensed mental health counselor with expertise in higher education, we’re dedicated to promoting holistic wellness through art, agriculture, animal care, and compassionate community learning.

Our Ferret Rescue is a vital part of that mission.

We provide a safe, nurturing haven for ferrets who have been abandoned, surrendered, displaced, or simply need a temporary home. Our facility accepts ferrets in need and makes adoptable ferrets available to loving, responsible families. For those who need a trusted place to stay while their families travel or move, we also offer ferret boarding services to the public.

Ferrets at Elevated Earth are more than rescue animals—they are beloved members of our learning community.
When appropriate for their age, health, and temperament, our ferrets participate in educational programs, animal-assisted activities, and hands-on animal care experiences. Their presence helps children, teens, and adults cultivate empathy, responsibility, sustainability, and emotional connection. They bring joy, spark curiosity, and teach gentle stewardship—values at the heart of who we are.

What We Provide:

  1. Safe, clean enclosures and enrichment

  2. High-quality nutrition and habitat supplies

  3. Socialization, playtime, and stress-reduction

  4. Adoption placement for suitable homes

  5. Boarding for ferrets whose families need temporary care

  6. Education on responsible ferret ownership and welfare

A Community Effort
We welcome volunteers of all ages and experience levels to join us. Whether helping with daily care, assisting in programs, or participating in community events, volunteers make it possible for us to give every ferret the love and attention they deserve.

Through animal rescue, education, and hands-on connection, we empower people to care for animals, the environment, and themselves.
